  26. It is of course Atari who challanged the German standard,  and I am just
  27. one of the people who support Atari in that,  because I think ^W really should
  28. stand for close window.  It is also hard to explain to any English speaking
  29. person that ^W should mean 'Cycle windows' because Germand for 'cycle'
  30. is 'wechseln'.  If we want to reach an agreement,  everyone is going to
  31. have to make sacrifices!

  33. And I know that almost any Americain and British program since the Atari
  34. proposition *HAS* adopted the ^W for close window.

  36. Perhaps we should try and reach a 'dual' agreement and have our forthcoming
  37. proposal demand that each application allows a choice between the
  38. 'German' and the 'Global' standard...
